Mohcine Ouass

Guides established and emerging companies as they redefine their business models and pursue new business-building opportunities

Mohcine leads McKinsey’s Financial Services Practice in the Netherlands and leads the work of Leap by McKinsey in financial services in the Benelux.

With a strong entrepreneurial focus, Mohcine partners with leaders to design, build, and launch new businesses from the ground up. This work includes defining growth strategies and building the execution muscle to deliver on new business potential.

In addition, Mohcine helps companies shape and lead performance transformation programs, which are typically built around improving customer experience, boosting employee satisfaction, and increasing bottom-line impact.

Examples of Mohcine’s recent client work include the following:

  • building several cloud-native digital banks across Europe and Asia targeting the retail, small and medium-size enterprises, and wealth management segments, delivering above-market returns and superior net-promoter scores
  • leading a performance transformation at a large institution that resulted in 20 percent productivity improvement and 15 percent higher employee satisfaction while cutting time-to-market in half
  • architecting an innovation strategy for a retailer, including creating a loyalty scheme that increased “share of wallet” with existing customers by five percent

Passionate about making a positive difference in society, Mohcine founded GameChangers Academy, which empowers young people in the Moroccan Dutch community to develop their full leadership potential. He has also served on the boards of AIESEC in the Netherlands and Moroccan Dutch Leadership Institute. He is currently a member of the supervisory board of VPRO.
