Hesham leads McKinsey’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Practice in EEMA, with a specific focus on frontline effectiveness, transaction banking, and digital tools. At the forefront of our work on SME financing and impact investment funds, Hesham also brings extensive expertise in SME support programs, product strategy development, and customer segmentation.

Hesham’s recent client projects include the following:

  • Leading a group banking strategy and transformation plan for one of the top three Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) banks
  • Leading corporate banking frontline transformation and building a relationship manager workbench
  • Supporting a global fintech unicorn on revolutionizing working capital financing for an SME
  • Setting up impact and developmental investment funds to support the diversification efforts of GCC economies
  • Designing a digital build, go-to-market strategy, and expansion for an offshore digital bank
  • Launching the first digital mortgage journey in the GCC and initiating a housing ecosystem

Before joining McKinsey, Hesham launched Crossbridge Capital asset management firm in London, and worked in wealth management at Credit Suisse in London.
