Yuta is a partner in McKinsey’s Tokyo office and a leader in the firm’s Travel, Transport & Logistics Practice in Japan, serving clients in the logistics, air-transportation, shipping, and mobility sectors. He also leads McKinsey’s manufacturing and supply-chain work in Japan, serving clients in all industries, with extensive knowledge in the automotive-and-assembly, consumer-packaged-goods, and retail industries.

Yuta has worked extensively with Japanese and global logistics players to design and build new services through multiyear digital and innovation transformation. He is especially passionate about institutional capability building through the transformation journey.

He is a thought leader in the logistics industry in Japan, especially on innovation and sustainability in logistics in response to a hyperaging society and on Industry 4.0.
