Leads McKinsey in East India and Bangladesh; spearheads All In, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in Asia

Namrata is a partner leading McKinsey’s presence in Eastern India and Bangladesh. Technology forms the bedrock of her work, which ranges from complex operations transformations at technology-service firms to digital and analytics studies at industrial and consumer companies. She has contributed to India’s strong presence in the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network.

Namrata also takes a special interest in the agriculture sector, serving companies across the agricultural value chain and helping reimagine the ecosystem with technology as a key enabler. She also recently led a collaboration aimed at doubling Indian agricultural exports.

Namrata leads the All In, Diversity & Inclusion efforts for Asia and believes this decade will be defined by the “war for talent.” Diversity and inclusion are key focus areas for her as the firm continues to double down on its mission to hire, inspire, and nurture women leaders.

Namrata speaks at key industry forums, including the Bangladesh Brand Forum, the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kolkata, Construction Industry Institute, and the FICCI. In 2018, she received the Telegraph’s She Award in the corporate category, and in 2019, she won The Economic Times’ Women Ahead award.

An engineering graduate from Anna University, Namrata started her career as a COBOL developer in the Indian IT services sector. She also holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
