Survey: UAE consumer sentiment during the coronavirus crisis

Consumer optimism regarding the United Arab Emirates’ economic recovery has increased significantly, but overall spending remains low as consumers adopt ways to save more.

While consumers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are optimistic about a quick economic recovery from the pandemic, they are still experiencing declining income and are cutting back on their spending in all categories, except household essentials. Consumers are more price conscious and are increasingly looking for ways to save. These exhibits are based on survey data collected in the UAE from January 25 to February 10, 2021. Check back for regular updates on UAE consumer sentiments, behaviors, income, spending, and expectations.
