Shatetha Terdprisant

Senior PartnerBangkok

Serves as the chairman of McKinsey Indochina, with extensive experience in transforming and innovating companies in Asia and Southeast Asia

As the chairman of McKinsey Indochina, which includes offices in Thailand and Vietnam, Shatetha has extensive knowledge of markets in Asia and Southeast Asia.

Shatetha’s current client projects range from regulatory strategy and implementation support to corporate strategy, logistics transformation, and sales and channel management. He supported various ministries and agencies in the Thai government in developing and launching the Eastern Economic Corridor, which includes three provinces in the eastern region of Thailand. The project involved identifying ten new industrial and service sectors for the country, recommending the physical (such as high-speed rail, new international airports, and enhanced deep seaports) and regulatory (such as investment incentives, education, and capability building) infrastructure required to support the new corridor, and developing a strategy to fund the $40 billion dollar project for the next 10 years.

Shatetha also helped a leading national oil and gas company in Asia develop a strategy to tap into technological and geographical trends. The scope included conducting thematic and technological trend scans, creating a strategic gameboard to prioritize strategic plays, evaluating potential technology partners, and facilitating partnership discussions for the selected priority areas.

For another recent project, Shatetha led a study on the demand for affordable housing in Yangon with a particular focus on the needs of low-income and middle-income segments. In addition to market-need studies, the project scope included benchmarking and designing the required value proposition, drawing on international best practice to define enablers, such as construction cost reduction and funding strategies.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Shatetha worked for oilfield services company's seismic division. He assisted in planning and running marine seismic projects in Asia, Australia, and Europe. A graduate of the Wharton School’s MBA program, Shatetha was a Fulbright scholar.
