Matt leads McKinsey’s North American Retirement Practice and co-leads Growth, Marketing & Sales for the firm’s Insurance Practice in North America. He advises executives at life and annuities carriers, multiline insurers, wealth and asset managers, recordkeepers, and diversified financial services companies, helping his clients build and execute against growth strategies, shape and target distribution channels, deepen digital and AI capabilities, and realize large-scale transformations.

Matt is passionate about the convergence of large data, technology, analytics, and new ways of working to inform opportunity identification and improve his clients’ performance trajectory. He has led numerous transformational efforts with analytics and AI at the center of value definition and realization. He has also served clients on a wide range of functional topics including corporate finance, post-merger integration, risk management, growth analytics, service operations, efficiency optimization, and organizational design.

Matt has published extensively on the future of insurance, distribution and retirement, and frequently shares his views on industry outlook speaking at conferences and industry forums. Outside of McKinsey, he and his wife have three children, and are active in their local community and schools.
