Wesley is a partner in McKinsey’s London office, focusing on private equity across the investment cycle, and works directly with portfolio companies. He serves private equity and other alternative investors, such as family offices globally, but focuses his work in Europe, North America, and Africa. Wesley has been involved in more than 35 commercial and vendor due diligence processes and over 20 strategy projects for private equity funds and portfolio companies. He coleads our private equity exit service line in EMEA, with significant experience in leading exit preparations for businesses in multifaceted industries and with complex business models.
Wesley’s areas of experience and expertise include: due diligence, exit preparation, value creation, portfolio operations, fund strategy, and hospitality and travel.
Wesley’s recent projects include leading exit preparations for multiple companies, including a niche high-tech certification business, a B2B provider of lighting equipment, an African consumer-goods company, and a global recreational equipment supplier.
Other recent projects Wesley has led include:
- creating a turnaround plan for a private equity portfolio company in the advanced-industrial sector
- developing a global growth strategy for a large consumer-product company
- driving the expansion of a family-owned boutique hotel chain
- performing commercial due diligence on a sports equipment provider
- developing a scale-up plan for a mid-cap private equity house
