Ryoji has a proven track record of supporting enterprise-wide transformations for a broad range of manufacturing clients, ranging from automotive OEMs, automotive components suppliers, heavy machinery makers to players in the medical technology space.

Examples of his recent client work include:

  • leading a comprehensive operations transformation for an automotive component supplier, supporting the client’s cost transformation end to end. This included optimizing manufacturing cost drivers—direct and indirect materials, direct and indirect labor, and overall manufacturing costs—resulting in significant improvements in cost structure and production efficiency
  • directing analytics-driven quality improvement initiatives, helping identify critical enablers for adopting novel, nontraditional approaches and clarifying specific next steps for implementation
  • leading the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Practice in Japan and conducting several hundred factory diagnostics to date, supporting clients in developing operations strategies by benchmarking performance gaps against industry leaders
