Ryan advises organizations on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and innovation across industries. A long-time award-winning chief information officer (CIO), he works to elevate IT by shifting the dialogue from solutions to business results, driving value across companies.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Ryan served as CIO for a privately-held diversified conglomerate, and his years of experience in this role have given him deep expertise in leading digital transformations, driving innovation, changing workplace culture, rationalizing infrastructure footprint, and conducting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Ryan is deeply experienced with agile development, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, data privacy, and continuous integration and delivery, and speaks frequently at events on these topics.
In addition to his client work, Ryan also serves on the board of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and as a curriculum adviser to the University of South Florida.
