Rory is a global leader of engineering with QuantumBlack Labs, part of QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey. A technologist at heart, he works with global teams across industries to define and drive standards and best practices in machine learning and AI products. Using the firm’s full suite of available innovations, which includes open-source software and libraries powered by AI, he delivers transformational solutions at speed and scale.

Helping clients solve problems and develop analytics-driven organizations with a large-scale transformation is at the core of Rory’s expertise. Before joining QuantumBlack, he led the development of Wave, McKinsey’s flagship program-management tool to support transformation and change programs by tracking initiatives and milestones and measuring impact.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Rory served as an executive architect at NearForm, an enterprise software-development company, and earlier led the development of a series of successful products across a range of industries, most notably in mobile games, where he also founded and led a VC-backed game studio.
