Rory is a partner at QuantumBlack, where he serves clients across industries on the deployment of Agentic AI to transform domains, as well as establishing the foundational capabilities and architectural requirements to scale Agentic AI.
Rory also leads product at QB/Labs, McKinsey’s AI R&D function, defining the strategy, operating model, and roadmap to codify learnings from our AI work across industries.
Recent examples of Rory's work include the following:
- defining and establishing the Agentic AI Foundational backbone for a large global insurer
- redesigning the product development lifecycle using Agentic AI for a US insurer
- establishing the “AI Reuse Engine” for a global O&G player
- leading the development of 20+ AI products deployed more than 1,000 times over the past 5 years
Before joining QuantumBlack, Rory led the development of Wave, McKinsey’s flagship program-management tool to support transformation and change programs by tracking initiatives and milestones and measuring impact.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Rory served as an executive architect at NearForm, an enterprise software-development company, and earlier led the development of a series of successful products across a range of industries, most notably in mobile games, where he also founded and led a VC-backed game studio.
He is an accomplished amateur singer and theatre actor and enjoys coaching youth basketball.
