About Ramnath

Ramnath works extensively with life and P&C insurers, insurance brokers, and banks across the globe, including in North and South America, India, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. He also leads our work in insurance globally with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies. He serves companies on multiple topics including strategy, performance transformation, digital and analytics, growth, distribution, and productivity.

As coleader of the global insurance digital, analytics, and technology group, Ramnath is responsible for building and leading a team of dedicated digital and analytics practitioners focused on solving the toughest problems in the insurance industry by bringing cutting-edge data science and technology capabilities and expertise.

Every year, Ramnath hosts a dialogue of 25 CEOs and presidents of North American life and annuities insurers to discuss a range of strategic topics related to the industry. He also convenes more than 50 North American insurance executives annually at McKinsey’s Insurance Digital Leaders Forum, and he regularly speaks on the topics of digital and analytics in insurance at industry conferences and forums.

Ramnath joined McKinsey in 2003 in the Mumbai office—where he led the insurance sector work—and has been based in New York since 2014.
