Oskar is a partner in McKinsey’s Stockholm office and leads the firm’s Financial Services Practice in the Nordics and our consumer and embedded finance work in Europe. He has a core leadership role in our European banking work, with focus on retail banking. Oskar works with management teams, boards, and investors of banks, fintechs, and insurers to create value for customers and investors. With his experience and expertise from the digitally advanced Nordic financial services industry, he serves not only leading local institutions and investors, but also ambitious banks and investors in Europe and beyond.
Some of his recent client work includes:
- driving a data and analytics transformation at a leading digital retail bank
- reorganizing a market-leading universal bank
- leading a SME banking go-to-market strategy reset for a market-leading retail bank
- planning value creation together with management and the new owner of a leading consumer and embedded finance specialist
- leading due diligence of a fast-growing specialist in the property and casualty and life insurance space
Oskar is fluent in English and Swedish, and can (or at least could) converse in Spanish.
In his spare time, Oskar supports his five children in their alpine skiing ventures.
