About Matteo

Matteo leads our work in manufacturing in Southeast Asia. His areas of operations expertise include productivity improvements, lean transformations, and cost optimization programs. In recent years, he has supported lean transformations at more than 30 different clients, often generating more than 20 percent productivity improvements.

Matteo has worked with a wide range of manufacturers, including automotive, construction, logistics, high tech, telecom, and paper companies, as well as banks. In a recent project, he helped reduce capital expenditures for an Asian utility provider. Now based in Singapore, he has counseled companies all over the world including in London, Milan, the United States, and across Southeast Asia.

Matteo’s recent work includes designing and supporting large-scale transformation programs for multi-national consumer goods companies. He has also developed productivity improvements for a number of low volume/high complexity manufacturers, such as oil rig makers, shipbuilders, and aerospace-and-defense companies. Matteo’s experience in cost-reduction and debottlenecking techniques recently helped an Asian semiconductor company improve its performance. In other work, he has conducted operations due diligence programs for consumer and automotive companies to help them identify cost reduction opportunities.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Matteo was a senior consultant at Solving Efeso, focused on lean and world class manufacturing (WCM) projects. This work lead to three different awards from the Japanese Institute of Planned Maintenance.
