Janaki serves enterprise software companies and fast-growth tech players on portfolio, product management, engineering, and product marketing topics. She also leads McKinsey’s research and thought leadership on AI-driven software product development and its impact on the future of organization, talent, operating model, and ecosystem.
Most recently, she led a major initiative to redefine product strategy and delivery for a global enterprise software player—transforming product management, engineering, design capabilities, and operating models to accelerate the development of AI-enabled and agentic products. This work underpinned a sustained double-digit growth ambition. Janaki has also steered end-to-end transformations across 200+ products with over $20 billion in revenue impact, helping organizations evolve into product-centric operating models and coaching more than 50 senior executives on new ways of working.
In addition, Janaki has led multiple efforts to strengthen the intersection of product, technology, and go-to-market strategy. This includes redefining the technical program management role for a major client’s business platform and implementing a capability-building program to embed a product- and platform-oriented mindset. She also spearheaded a sales enablement and product marketing initiative to educate over 300 enterprise accounts—worth several billion dollars in total contract value—on the value of SaaS products while reconfiguring software organization structures to unlock roughly $1 billion in growth. Across these programs, Janaki brings a track record of aligning leadership teams, building high-impact capabilities, and delivering measurable business outcomes through agentic and product transformation.
