Ignacio is a partner in McKinsey’s Miami office and a leader in McKinsey’s Tech & AI Practice. He specializes in large-scale data, AI, and gen AI transformations, serving clients across telecom, technology, banking, and other data-intensive industries globally. He leads McKinsey’s data transformation work for the TMT sector and the global gen AI agenda for telco work, combining deep technical expertise with a strong track record in digital business building.
Examples of his recent client work include:
- building an agentic sales solution that identifies leads and delivers personalized coaching, doubling sales in three months for a telco
- designing an AI copilot for a CFO function at a major Latin American telco, automating reporting and insight generation
- leading a telco engagement focused on AI-driven customer service, reducing inbound calls by 12 percent through proactive interventions
- shaping and launching a data and AI function over two years, embedding AI across core processes such as order to cash, and delivering agentic solutions to automate service data builds
- leading AI-powered go-to-market transformations and gen-AI-enabled productivity programs across tech and shared services
Ignacio previously worked at Bupa, coleading the data and analytics transformation, and at IBM, delivering enterprise AI solutions, including Watson. He holds a master’s in computer science and engineering and an MBA from INSEAD and is an associate professor at IE Business School focused on big data technologies.
