Ganaka is a partner in the financial-institutions group and coleads McKinsey’s transaction-banking service line in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He serves global financial institutions, primarily corporate and commercial-banking clients, on a broad range of strategic issues. Based in the London office, he also leads McKinsey’s client service in Sri Lanka.
Recent examples of his work include the following:
- helping design and run one of the largest digital delivery labs in Europe
- developing the global strategy for one of the largest digital lending-platform providers and identifying priority themes for the European market
- helping develop the overall supply-chain finance strategy for one of the largest global universal banks
- developing a market-entry strategy for a digital receivable-finance player
- assisting a global universal bank to plan and implement the largest cost-transformation program in the organization’s history
- developing a 20-country corporate and transaction banking digital platform and product strategy for a leading global universal bank
