Eren coleads our work in petrochemicals globally. Moreover, he leads our energy and materials work in Turkey and Azerbaijan, serving clients across a range of industries including chemicals, oil and gas, electric power, mining, and steel. He has served clients in Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia.

In his recent work, Eren has had the experience to serve his clients in various functional areas, including strategy, operations, organization, and sales and marketing. His major focus is collaborating with clients for long-term performance improvement and transformation programs. In this setup, he led several performance transformation programs for multiple regional petrochemicals companies, focusing on procurement, commercial, operational, and energy efficiency areas.

Eren has a special interest in advanced analytics and its applications in industries for performance enhancements. In this field, he worked with several clients to develop and deploy advanced-analytics-based approaches to improve operational and commercial performance. These works have been transformational, helping shift his clients from experience-based decision making to data and optimization-based decision making.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Eren was an operations research and optimization practitioner working in academy and in the oil and gas industry. He holds a patent in optimization algorithms.
