About Damien

Damien leads McKinsey’s healthcare and social-services work in Australia. He has extensive experience in serving health- and social-services entities, both public and private, in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He also leads the firm’s health-analytics and private-health-insurance work across Asia.

Damien works with leaders in the health- and social-services industries to undertake strategic transformations, improve productivity, and enhance operational effectiveness and outcomes. His experience spans the public sector—at both the federal and state levels—and the private sector, including health insurers, health providers, and pharmaceutical companies.

With a focus on healthcare productivity, Damien has worked with in-hospital operations, improper payments, service reconfiguration, operating-model reform, and IT optimisation. He also has deep expertise in digital health, including the design of telehealth trials, electronic-medical-record strategy, and genomic- and precision-medicine opportunities.

Damien has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst course and is a board member of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Victoria).
