Chad is a leader in McKinsey’s Global Energy & Materials Practice and leads the firm’s North American nuclear work. He advises utilities, energy companies, investors, and public sector organizations on strategy, operations, and large-scale transformations across the evolving energy landscape.

He helps senior executives solve complex challenges in operational performance, organizational transformation, capital deployment, and digital enablement. Chad has led enterprise-wide transformations across nuclear fleets and other capital-intensive operations, improving reliability, strengthening organizational capabilities, and delivering sustained operational and financial performance.

Chad is widely recognized for his expertise across the nuclear value chain, from optimizing existing nuclear assets to advancing the commercialization of next-generation technologies, including small modular reactors (SMRs), advanced reactors, fusion, and the nuclear fuel cycle. He advises utilities, technology developers, investors, and governments on growth strategy, due diligence, operating-model transformation, and investment decisions that support the future of clean, reliable energy.

In addition to his client work, Chad leads McKinsey’s thought leadership on advanced nuclear technologies, authoring perspectives and executive guides on advanced reactors, fusion, nuclear fuels, digital operations, and decarbonization.

Before joining McKinsey, Chad held engineering and leadership roles at Enercon Services, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Argonne National Laboratory. He holds a Master of Science in nuclear engineering and a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the Ohio State University.
