Ben is a partner in McKinsey’s Washington, DC, office, where he leads economic development efforts for McKinsey’s Social, Healthcare and Public Sector Entities Practice. With over a decade of experience, Ben specializes in strategy development, delivery of capital investments, and operational excellence. He works closely with public and private entities—including investors, developers, and government bodies—to enhance strategic capabilities and deliver large-scale projects. His expertise extends to real estate, higher education, and infrastructure.

Ben’s notable projects include:

  • advising a US state government on its economic development strategy, including identifying competitive advantages and designing initiatives to drive economic outcomes
  • leading the design and delivery of innovation-focused developments for universities and private developers alike, creating strategic visions and business plans for these significant investments
  • supporting organizational and operational transformations for leading economic development organizations to build innovative capabilities that advance their economic growth goals

Outside of McKinsey, Ben is passionate about community service and enjoys engaging in activities that promote economic and social development. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA in international development from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in mathematical economics from Brown University.

Before joining McKinsey, Ben worked in real estate development and at the World Bank, where he focused on education in South Asia.
