Anders leads our work with decarbonization across industries. He supports clients across sectors such as advanced industries, basic materials, construction, building materials, and investors, in accelerating the path toward net-zero emissions. He has deep expertise across all elements of a decarbonization transformation—establishing baselines, assess levers, set targets, optimize pathways to zero, implementation of pathways, operationalize change by embedding carbon reduction in the organization, like tools and assets, internal carbon prices, capability building, and governance.

Anders has developed and published several seminal perspectives on decarbonization and has also led the development of Catalyst Zero, McKinsey’s leading decarbonization tool suite.

Anders is a core member of McKinsey’s strategy efforts and he advises clients across strategic topics. He has a primary focus on clients in the broader transportation ecosystem such as OEMs, rail and air operators, as well as suppliers.

Anders is a dedicated skydiver and used to compete at in both American football and bandy.
