Abhinav is a partner in McKinsey’s Pittsburgh office. He works with packaging and chemicals clients to drive holistic transformations that include strategy, commercial growth and transformation.. Abhinav has experience serving clients in many geographies including North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia across several packaging types and substrates like paper, plastic, glass, and metal.

Abhinav also coleads McKinsey’s sustainable packaging work, a sector that focuses on developing insights and solutions on topics such as sustainability, circularity, consumer trends, and more.

Some examples of Abhinav’s recent work include the following:

  • creating long-term strategy definitions for several plastic, metals, and paper-packaging companies in North America and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
  • leading multiple diligences and M&A exercises including pre-close integration planning and post-close synergy delivery
  • developing a commercial growth strategy for a packaging company to leverage the available asset base and footprint
  • creating a commercial-excellence program for a large packaging client in Latin America around pricing, customer experience, and contract management to build capability
  • holistic transformations for multiple companies in the chemicals space
  • refining the go-to-market model for a chemicals company in the United States, leading to better distributor and channel management, as well as margin improvement

Abhinav has also been a speaker at several external industry conferences in the packaging sector and is passionate about driving disruptive ideas to improve industry performance.
