Abhi is the coleader of our sourcing work in McKinsey Technology and a leader in our Technology, Media, & Telecommunications Practice. He serves clients on the cloud-operations domain and on driving value through digital transformation of service, customer, technology, and vendor operations. He has extensive experience working with IT services, telecom providers, and hi-tech companies on large-scale transformations, with a focus on driving rapid margin improvement and building capabilities required to compete on digital services.

His expertise spans enterprise account management, IT and digital sourcing, customer operations transformation, cloud operations and sourcing, technology infrastructure and cloud services, building new operating and delivery models, driving next-generation automation and analytics in delivery operations, and managing and turning around customer engagement and satisfaction across industry sectors.

Examples of some of Abhi’s recent client work include the following:

  • Drive a comprehensive sourcing transformation for a leading telco operator, capturing more than $500 million in opportunity across one of the largest CIO organizations by driving a new operating model, globalizing the IT organization, leveraging a vendor partnership, and transforming the cost base into variable.
  • Transform a leading B2B telco operator’s customer operations by driving an operating-model transformation, maximizing vendor partnerships, and standing up the capability to digitize all customer operations journeys—driving more than $1 billion in enterprise value.
  • Help a leading over-the-top media provider drive visibility and forecast ability and efficiency in their rapidly increasing hyperscale cloud spend base.

Prior to rejoining McKinsey, Abhi was the leader of global delivery and operations for a leading services provider and global leader of business and account turnaround, responsible for all its customers and account delivery professionals across all industries in over 60 countries.
