Coleads McKinsey’s Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice and drives transformative initiatives for clients across Asia in the auto aftermarket, building materials, chemicals, and agriculture sectors

Based in McKinsey’s Mumbai office, Aakriti advises leading organizations across sectors on sales transformations and growth strategy. She leads growth work in India and supports sales and channel excellence in other regions. She has worked with companies in sectors ranging from automotive and auto components to consumer durables (such as electronics), building materials (such as cement, pipes, and tiles), chemicals (including oleochemicals and flavors and fragrances), and agri-inputs.

Aakriti also leads the development of next-generation digital, analytics, and agentic AI solutions that are reshaping go-to-market models, particularly in fragmented trade environments.

Her recent client work includes a multiyear sales transformation for a large automotive aftermarket company. The program involved launching a direct-to-consumer platform for its service business, redesigning sales planning, shifting performance management from primary to secondary sales, and restructuring the sales organization for greater agility and customer proximity.

She also led a multiyear growth program for a leading pipes manufacturer in India, supporting expansion in priority markets through the design of a new direct retail channel, development of a distribution network, deployment of advanced sales and marketing tools, and significant capability building across the sales force. In addition to her work in India, Aakriti has served clients in Japan and Europe on growth strategy and transformation topics.
