Senior Accountant (fixed term 12 months)

You will provide accounting and analytical support to the finance & accounting office function across a broad range of areas. You will be a member of the local finance team and will work closely with other colleagues whose focus is on local finance.

Your Impact

You will ensure compliance with Polish accounting and tax (VAT, CIT) regulations and internal accounting regulations and policies. 
You will be based in Poznan and will be part of our finance group. 
You will ensure that management accounting is carried out according to firm standards.
You will be engaged in balance sheet reconciliation.
You will participate in tax returns preparation (VAT, CIT) together with other teams in the firm. 
You will ensure that reports required by Polish regulations are prepared and submitted on time (including NBP, GUS)
You will coordinate Year End closure activities including Financial Statement preparation and CIT calculation and cooperate on this topic with other teams like the legal Corporate Tax Team.

Your qualifications and skills

  • University degree, preferably in Finance
  • 6+ years of Finance and Accounting (including Financial Statement preparation) experience with knowledge of taxes (e.g. CIT, VAT) and related processes in a professional service environment
  • Good verbal and written language skills both in Polish and English (B2/C1 - CEFR* or equivalent)
  • Solid MS Office skills (Excel and Word)
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Distinct quality mindset and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge and experience across regional and organizational boundaries
  • Excellent communication skills to tailor messages over the phone or via email, both in Polish and English
