Your Impact

As a Product Reliability Engineer II within the MCS Premises Monitoring & Access Team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding McKinsey's global operations by ensuring the reliability and functionality of our physical security systems. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a secure and seamless environment for our colleagues and clients worldwide.
In this role, you will enhance Security Operations by auditing and monitoring physical security systems across McKinsey offices globally, you will ensure that our security infrastructure remains robust, reliable, and up to date. You will solve Complex Challenges, your expertise in troubleshooting on-premises devices and access control systems will help resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing disruptions to daily operations. You will partner with office IT teams and external vendors; you will drive advanced solutions and ensure the smooth functioning of security systems.
In this role, you will be administering and resolving issues related to card management (physical and mobile credentials), you will enable secure and efficient access for our colleagues.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field
  • 2+ years of experience in the Security IT industry preferred
  • Proficiency in security domain knowledge, particularly Lenel OnGuard systems and Video Management System as Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, ITNM, Zabbix, or Solarwinds preferred
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and related services
  • Knowledge of SQL and Snowflake preferred
  • Basic understanding of cloud solutions such as AWS, GCP and Azure 
  • Solid networking knowledge concepts including DHCP, DNS, VLAN, IPV4, Zero Trust architecture and subnetting
  • Understanding cybersecurity risks is advantageous
  • Availability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Experience working with Incident management tools such as ServiceNow
