As a Capabilities & Insights (C&I) Analyst, you will be based in Gurugram, India, as part of our Digital & Tech Insights (DTi).
As part of this group, you’ll join a global team to help organizations transform through data, technology, and AI innovation. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with our global firm. You’ll combine analytical rigor with business acumen to shape client recommendations, drive decision-making, and strengthen McKinsey’s knowledge assets globally.

As a C&I Analyst in the DTi team, you will play a critical role in supporting a broad range of client project teams across various practices. Your responsibilities will include providing first-line support to client service teams, delivering high-quality analysis, insights and expertise to address their client needs. In this exciting position, you will be at the intersection of technology, digital, AI and business, working as part of our client-service teams. Over time, you will increasingly serve as a subject matter expert to McKinsey colleagues and our clients on digital, analytics, AI and technology topics, contributing to building our diagnostics, product development, and reach and relevance initiatives. Some of your responsibilities will be to collaborate with client project teams to scope and problem-solve their requirements; clarify request objectives and determine the most appropriate and timely delivery approach; conduct in-depth research using relevant, qualified resources (e.g., proprietary and external databases, analyst reports) to deliver accurate, up-to-date, and targeted information; and perform standard analyses as required, and summarize, synthesize, and package relevant data and insights into client-ready formats (e.g., well-developed documents, databases, models, and charts).
You will also support the development and codification of knowledge assets, such as detailed documents, knowledge nuggets, and qualification packs. Contribute to the creation of LOPs and other client development materials; advise clients on global technology trends across areas like Technology finance, sourcing, Tech and AI talent, Tech and AI adoption across industries; help clients identify high‑value GenAI use cases (e.g., knowledge assistant, coding copilot, customer ops, risk/compliance), shape business cases, define success metrics to inform their AI agenda; contribute to data readiness for AI solutions: assist in mapping and structuring datasets, defining and maintaining data ontologies, and exploring data graph models to support knowledge representation and AI use cases.
