Proud Leaders – Europe
Virtual event
McKinsey passionately believes in developing outstanding leaders and promoting diversity, both at our firm and in the world at large.
Proud Leaders - Europe was created to support talented individuals from across Europe, who self-identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community, including, but not limited to, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, gender-non-conforming, non-binary, intersex or are an LGBTQ+ ally.
A member of a group personally identifies with the group, whereas an ally does not personally identify with the group, but wants to support it. GLAM Allies is a group of McKinsey colleagues who volunteer to be visible and vocal advocates for LGBTQ+ inclusion and to provide support to LGBTQ+ colleagues as needed.
To give attendees an opportunity to create a sense of connection and community, we will kick off the program with a session on Thursday evening. Join us for welcoming words from an inspirational speaker from our LGBTQ+ network and learn about what qualities make a leader inspiring. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions and get to know each other in an informal setting.
Following our introduction session, the virtual program will continue, which will include an interactive case study workshop, during which attendees will learn McKinsey’s approach to problem-solving. Attendees will also hear from more inspirational speakers and virtually meet members of GLAM, our LGBTQ+ community at McKinsey. We hope you’ll join us to learn more about consulting, McKinsey, and being LGBTQ+ at work.
