My dream job
I am a capabilities and insights (C&I) specialist in our European healthcare team and I work with clients in the healthcare payer and provider space. My passion is about digital health.
What is funny about my journey to McKinsey is that I was not aware of the variety of capabilities and insights roles that the firm offers. I randomly saw the job description on the website, and got super excited as I read through what the role entailed, and thought - this is my absolute dream job. I applied and the rest is history.
What I love most about my work is that enables me to address innovative topics from the health sector every day. I am always learning something new and enjoy working with highly motivated and smart colleagues. Being able to drive meaningful change in a team of determined and diverse people is extremely encouraging and contributes to the state-of-the-art solutions that we come up with for our clients. I am also enthusiastic about the topic of health because it affects us all and I am eager to improve the healthcare system for people worldwide.

Also, there are practice-specific events, where you have the possibility to network and get to know new people. Inspirational speakers motivate and teach you helpful skills in trainings and webinars. Speaking of driving meaningful change, I am currently part of a team which publishes an annual hard copy book about the status quo of healthcare digitization in Germany. Holding the finished product in my hands after all the hard work that took place over a year was an amazing feeling, especially, because we know that this knowledge will guide others and contribute to further improvement of the healthcare sector.

Outside of work
I really like the outdoors and often go hiking with my husband on the weekend. I also enjoy traveling, love getting to know new countries and cultures. So far, my favorite country is Nepal.
