I recently celebrated my first year as a digital-marketing consultant at McKinsey. Looking back, I can confidently say it has been the most exciting, challenging, and fun experience in my career. It feels like I picked up five years of knowledge in just one.

During my last engagement, I helped a company grow its online business in six countries in Europe and Africa. Operations in each country were at different maturity stages, so each had its own challenges.Our work consisted of analyzing digital marketing and sales performance, assessing the website, and identifying key ways to optimize and implement solutions. We helped redesign their teams into agile scrum squads and built capabilities internally, so they could minimize their dependencies on providers. Our work with our clients showed visible results in less than a month.
