Survey: Argentinian consumer sentiment during the coronavirus crisis

Argentinian consumer sentiment has remained steady in recent weeks, with most consumers uncertain about an economic recovery.

An increasing number of Argentinian consumers are feeling the economic effects of the crisis and remain worried about the wellbeing of their families and the economy. They expect to cut their spending across almost all categories except groceries, personal-care products, household supplies, and at-home entertainment. Many consumers are also adopting new digital activities, such as online streaming and video chat. Almost all Argentinians believe the impact of COVID-19 on their routines and finances will last for more than two months.

These exhibits are based on survey data collected in Argentina from May 1–4, 2020. Check back for regular updates on Argentinian consumer sentiments, behaviors, income, spending, and expectations.
