This survey panel recruitment questionnaire is administered by Savanta, as a data processor to McKinsey & Company, with the assistance of a third party that may access your personal data under strict confidentiality obligations in order to assess your suitability for, and place you in, appropriate future survey panels. If you are selected for a survey panel, your participation in that survey will be subject to a separate privacy notice.
The primary purpose of this survey panel questionnaire is to determine which future surveys may be appropriate for you. Completing this questionnaire and participating in any survey panel is completely voluntary and your responses to this questionnaire are treated as confidential. The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in conducting the underlying surveys, as well as your consent to participate. McKinsey may share or publish analyses and insights derived from this questionnaire, including any business partners, in an aggregated format. You will not be identified, and no results will be attributed to you without your consent. Additionally, your questionnaire responses may be used and retained by McKinsey for research, data analysis, and statistical purposes, including benchmarking and identifying insights across survey participants. The parties that have access to your questionnaire responses or that are involved in creating reports/data analysis are subject to strict confidentiality obligations in relation to access and use of the data and have training on how to handle the data confidentially.
This questionnaire gathers specific types of personal data, including your name, email address, and year of birth. This is not a comprehensive list—the types of data will be clear from the questions. In addition to the purposes listed above, your responses may be used to create analyses and reports that are not linked to or attributed to you personally. Some questions may request information considered sensitive under certain privacy laws. The processing of this sensitive data is based on your active consent to participate in the survey panel and respond to the questions in the questionnaire. If you would rather not respond to a question requesting sensitive data, please select the “prefer not to answer” or “not applicable” option. The data collected through this questionnaire may be combined with third-party datasets to generate aggregated and anonymized insights. Please note that we do not sell personal data governed by this privacy notice to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not share personal data governed by this privacy notice with third parties for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Upon completion of the questionnaire and the purposes outlined in this notice all identification data and identifiable responses will be deleted, destroyed, or otherwise rendered unidentifiable in accordance with McKinsey’s internal data retention policies. Personal data may be transferred to McKinsey global subsidiaries, affiliates, and their personnel, as well as to our third-party service providers, all of which are located worldwide, including in countries where local laws may provide fewer data protection rights than your own. Where required by law, McKinsey has implemented legal mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure that personal data is protected when processed by McKinsey entities or third-party service providers. Regardless of where your data is processed, McKinsey will treat it with the same care and respect for your privacy. Savanta, as our data processor, is committed to maintaining the strict confidentiality of such information and providing the same level of data security as provided by McKinsey.
The questionnaire is confidential and proprietary, and sharing its contents with anyone else is strictly prohibited.
