Partner

Leads end-to-end transformations, new business developments, and strategy initiatives across key players in the real estate and private equity value chain

Thais is a partner in McKinsey’s New York office and a member of the Real Estate and Private Capital Practices. She works closely with companies along the entire industry value chain, such as developers, operators, prop techs, and service providers, especially in North and Latin America.

Before joining McKinsey, Thais spent eight years in leadership positions in the real estate industry. She first served as a managing director at Tishman Speyer, where she held multiple global leadership positions, including global head of property management, sustainability, strategy, and innovation. She was the founder and head of some of Tishman Speyer’s new businesses, such as Studio (a coworking and events platform) and ZO (an amenities platform). In strategy, she looked for opportunities to enhance performance and innovate in-house or through investments.

After that, Thais joined Quinto Andar, Latin America’s largest property technology company and respective unicorn in the space. As the leader of Quinto Andar’s overall business in its core market in Brazil, she led its continued growth and expansion into new products and regions, nationally and internationally, through in-house developments and mergers and acquisitions. She also oversaw the launch of a market that opened its ecosystem for third parties.

Thais is a returning alumna to McKinsey, where she began her career, and was focused on turnarounds, commercial transformations, growth, and pricing initiatives across industries.
