Solly is a partner in McKinsey’s Sydney office who advises organizations on AI strategy and transformation. With deep expertise in large-scale AI initiatives, he helps clients unlock value from data and AI across all stages of implementation. This includes establishing foundational data architectures, operationalizing agentic workflows, and building institutional capabilities.
Solly is passionate about equipping organizations to thrive in a world shaped by AI and technology, guiding leaders through the complexities of adoption and ensuring that transformation efforts are scalable and sustainable.

- implementing AI in financial crime operations for a major financial services company
- designing a comprehensive agentic AI strategy for a major telecommunications company
- building agentic post-trade operations for an international bank
- building an AI-driven migration engine for a telecommunications operator to optimize customer migration processes
- leading the development of an AI-enabled optimization tool for a materials company to improve network efficiency
- running the design, build, and delivery of an AI Academy for an organization of more than 20,000 employees.
Before joining McKinsey, Solly earned a PhD in machine learning and an MSc in theoretical physics with a focus on quantum optics. He is also an avid reader and enjoys skiing, tennis and chess in his free time.
