Pontus is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Stockholm office. He specializes in advising private-equity groups, investment companies, infrastructure investors, family offices, and government holding companies on strategy, M&A, and value creation in portfolio companies along the entire investment life cycle. His support includes work on 100-day plans; commercial-, operational-, and digital-performance-improvement programs; and exit preparations. In the past, Pontus has led Europe's Private Equity and Principal Investors Practice.

Pontus has extensive experience in many sectors in Europe. His expertise covers financial services, business services, industrial, and retail. He has led projects across Europe and in Asia, Eastern Europe, and North America.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Pontus worked in investment banking and in a government ministry that dealt with development, foreign, and trade policy. He is fluent in English, German, and Russian.
