Ozgur serves in several global roles within McKinsey, including as a member of its global leadership team.

Ozgur is a senior partner advising leading corporations including principal investors, financial institutions, technology players, and diversified conglomerates on strategy, performance, and transformation topics. Ozgur also serves as the Global People Leader at McKinsey & Company and is a member of McKinsey’s global leadership team. In his role as the Global People Leader, Ozgur oversees the firm’s people teams, including the global partnership office, performance assessment, professional development, learning, talent attraction, people analytics, human resources, and other core capabilities.

Prior to his appointment as Global People Leader, Ozgur served as the chair of the people committee of McKinsey’s Shareholders’ Council (the firm’s equivalent of the board of directors) and as managing partner for the EEMA region that includes Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Turkey.

As a client service professional, Ozgur has over two decades of experiences advising leading institutions in over 20 countries on a wide range of topics including growth strategy, performance improvement, digital and analytics, organizational development, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as capability-building-led transformations.

With a passion for global macro trends, leadership, and talent development, he is a frequent speaker on these topics in public and private forums. He is a passionate believer in servant leadership, which he sees as critical to bringing the power of the whole organization to bear. He believes one of the most important opportunities and challenges facing the business world is developing talent as future leaders.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Ozgur worked for United Technologies Corporation and IBM. Throughout his career, Ozgur has lived and worked in the France, Japan, South Africa, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
