About Laura

Laura leads McKinsey’s service to financial data, infrastructure, and technology providers in North America, spanning exchange groups, post-trade services providers, and data and analytics firms. She also serves clients across the financial-services ecosystem, including corporate and investment banks and private equity firms.

Laura is passionate about partnering with McKinsey’s clients to build new businesses and capabilities, enter new markets, and drive innovation. Her areas of expertise include operating model and the future of work, advanced analytics, natural language processing, and risk and regulatory strategy.

Examples of her recent client work include the following:

  • architecting a data and analytics strategy for a leading exchange group, backed by a robust scan of the external market environment
  • partnering with a post-trade services firm to design the post-pandemic future of work, spanning workplace design, collaboration technology, culture, management practices, and working models
  • supporting a major M&A transaction between two large financial infrastructure providers, including performing commercial due diligence and supporting the post-merger integration and planning effort
  • partnering with a leading global bank to design and execute a strategy to navigate the financial industry’s transition from LIBOR
  • leading an effort with a post-trade services firm to reimagine its operating model to accelerate its time to market and increase customer centricity

Before joining McKinsey, Laura worked as an investor with Goldman Sachs and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Laura holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a bachelor of commerce from Queen’s University in Canada where she graduated first in her class.
