Lamont is a partner in the firm’s Dallas office who drives strategic cybersecurity transformations for leading organizations to accelerate their business objectives and enhance digital resilience. His extensive knowledge of offensive and defensive cyber operations enables him to craft comprehensive, enterprise-wide strategies that span from high-level planning to tactical execution. He works with clients across critical infrastructure sectors, including financial services, insurance, information technology, healthcare, defense, and transportation, ensuring they are equipped to navigate today’s complex cyber landscape.

His recent experience includes the following:

  • architecting a comprehensive and dynamic systemwide supplier risk management strategy for a healthcare payor to monitor and reduce cyber risk throughout the vendor lifecycle, driving impact across the supplier risk management value chain
  • developing a risk-based cybersecurity approach for a top 15 U.S. bank to prioritize improvements to secure what matters most for the business and drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders
  • implementing a cybersecurity policy framework and developing a long-term strategic cybersecurity vision for a European-based airline
  • conducting an extensive assessment and developing adjustments to the cybersecurity team’s strategic priorities, technology stack, operating model, organizational structure, and resource model of a top U.S. airline
  • developing a comprehensive strategy for a USG organization to identify and reduce U.S. national security threats

A retired U.S. Air Force colonel, Lamont has a wealth of experience in cyber operations, network operations, and business transformation, along with a deep understanding of national security issues. After a distinguished 24-year military career, he finished his service as the director of operations for the Air Force Cyber Headquarters, where he led operations for a 44,000-person intel and cyber enterprise. Prior to that role, he commanded all Air Force Cyber Protection Teams, spearheading threat-focused, intelligence-driven cyber operations contributing to Department of Defense’s global operations to combat foreign threats.
