Ignacio is a Senior Partner at McKinsey, based in our Iberia office in Madrid, where he leads the office’s Client Committee. He has more than 26 years of experience serving leading financial institutions and investment firms globally.
He advises major European banks on strategy and growth. Ignacio has led international growth, business development, and strategic transformation programs across both wholesale and retail banking businesses.
In addition, Ignacio works with leading global private equity firms to enhance their fundraising and investment processes, as well as to transform their portfolio companies.
Ignacio has also held several global leadership roles within the firm, including Head of the Corporate Banking Practice in Europe, People Leader of the European Banking Practice, and Global People Leader of the Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Ignacio worked at Société Générale Asset Management in Paris, where he was a member of the Global Investment Committee.
He studied at London Business School, HEC Paris, and ESADE in Barcelona.
Outside of work, Ignacio enjoys flying planes, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and four children.
