Heitor leads McKinsey Digital in Latin America and works mainly for financial institutions and private equity companies

Heitor leads McKinsey’s Digital Practice in Latin America. He joined the São Paulo office in 1993 and has since served clients across the region as well as in Iberia. His primary areas of focus are financial and digital services. Heitor also leads New Ventures for Latin America. He leads the relationship of the firm with some of the most distinguished institutions in the region, supporting them on many topics, from strategy and organization to corporate finance and postmerger management. Heitor also helps clients think strategically about how to use technology to create fundamental business change. In addition, he is quite active in the private equity space, helping clients as they assess investment opportunities in the financial sector.

Over the years, Heitor has played multiple leadership roles within McKinsey, including serving as managing partner of the Buenos Aires office from 2000 to 2004.

Outside McKinsey, Heitor is active in the community. He is the president of the São Paulo Museum of Art, the preeminent fine-arts museum in South America. He was the president of Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, one of the most distinguished contemporary-art exhibitions in the world, from 2009 to 2013.

Heitor is a native Portuguese speaker and is fluent in English and Spanish.
