Works closely with executives and organizations to strengthen leadership pipelines, improve talent practices, and build more inclusive environments that enable all employees to thrive

Ankur helps organizations across sectors strengthen their leadership pipelines, improve talent practices, and build more inclusive environments that enable all employees to thrive. She collaborates with executives to reimagine how they attract, develop, and retain talent, often by designing strategies that unlock opportunity and create lasting business impact.

Ankur helped launch and continues to lead McKinsey’s Connected Leaders Academy (CLA), a leadership development program that draws on McKinsey’s award-winning learning science to expand opportunity and accelerate career growth. CLA offers distinctive programs for early-career professionals, mid-career managers, and senior executives. Since its launch in 2020, CLA has engaged more than 100,000 participants across 1,300 organizations worldwide, equipping leaders with the skills, networks, and sponsorship they need to grow and succeed.

She is also a frequent speaker on topics related to talent, leadership, and organizational performance. Ankur has shared insights from McKinsey’s annual Women in the Workplace research, the largest study of women in corporate America, which she coauthored in 2020. This work provides a comprehensive look at women’s experiences in the workplace and practical recommendations for advancing and retaining women leaders.

Before joining McKinsey, Ankur was the director of MBA admissions at The Wharton School, where she led the school to become the first top-ranked MBA program to achieve and sustain more than 40 percent representation of women. She began her career in investment banking and has also worked in strategy consulting and global talent development.
