Alessio is a senior partner in the Milan office, where he created and led the first Italian team of McKinsey Analytics. He now serves as the coleader of global payments and is responsible for McKinsey Digital projects in the Mediterranean area.
Alessio has extensive international experience providing consulting services in over 20 countries. He has led digital transformation programs and projects focused on AI, payments, and global transaction banking. He supports financial institutions, technology companies, investors, and start-ups in exploring numerous topics related to strategic planning, large-scale innovation, and technology-enabled growth.
Alessio has also promoted various initiatives for innovation development, including an innovation club that brings together top managers in the industry operating in Italy.
In addition to innovation, fintech, and payments, Alessio also dedicates himself to dissemination activities, participating as a speaker in national and international events.
Before joining McKinsey in 2008, Alessio earned a master’s degree in computer engineering for business management from the University of Pisa and a PhD in computer science and engineering from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca, where he currently serves as a member of the Board of the Student and Alumni Association.
