The Kennedy Forum
Our collaboration
MHI has partnered with The Kennedy Forum (TKF) to strengthen mental health and substance use services in the United States by developing an interactive systems map that helps visualize involvement of different stakeholder groups in accessing, providing, paying for, and/or utilizing mental health and substance use services. The launch of this resource led to multiple MHI-facilitated executive convenings that engaged local and national leaders in designing cross-sectoral approaches to mental health.
In addition, multiple workshops with mental health and substance use advocacy organizations (e.g., Faces and Voices of Recovery, Suicide Prevention Resource Center) were piloted as part of The Kennedy Forum's broader Alignment for Progress agenda and in support of the 90-90-90 framework. MHI has also made an official commitment in support of Alignment for Progress and developed the business case for a 90-90-90 vision roadmap.
Building on this work, MHI and TKF collaborated to develop CEO- and state-level resources to support a coordinated approach to investing in brain health and to enable the development of tailored brain health strategies. These tools have been used to engage leading employers to accelerate adoption of brain health strategies across sectors. Additionally, The Kennedy Forum serves as a Pathfinder member of the World Economic Forum’s Brain Economy Action Forum, supporting the development of global insights and helping elevate the brain economy agenda internationally.
