Stanford Medicine
Our collaboration
Stanford Medicine and MHI have worked together to regularly convene leaders across sectors and geographies to better understand and address emerging global health topics. Together with a broader ecosystem of organizations, they are focused on creating resources and sharing learnings that can scale across sectors as a complement to existing efforts in global health today.
Google for Health, MHI and Stanford Medicine worked together to bring each organization's capabilities around data, analytics, technology, research, and convening power to explore the role AI can play in scaling mental health skill-building programs. Alongside other expert institutions that contributed to this resource, the Mental Health and AI Field Guide was released as part of this effort: a practical guide that provides foundational knowledge, actionable strategies, and real-world examples to responsibly use AI in scaling mental health skill-building programs. It outlines ways in which AI can help support providers to deliver evidence-based care, expand access, and maintain high-quality support for people globally.
Additionally, MHI and Stanford Medicine co-hosted the Metabolic Health Business Building Summit in London in July 2026 – a convening focused on unlocking more healthy years of life globally and widespread economic returns by prioritizing optimal metabolic health at scale. The summit brought together more than 70 senior leaders across healthcare, life sciences, food, insurance, technology, academia, and investment to explore how cross-sector collaboration can unlock new investment in prevention, innovation, and venture creation.
