Major trucking companies are shifting to zero-emission commercial vehicles, but the transition faces a bumpy road. A McKinsey survey of 400 fleet operators in Europe and the United States reveals that range anxiety and reliability are among top concerns related to battery electric vehicles, senior partners Anna Herlt and coauthors note. For hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, operators worry most about safety and the availability of fuel.
