Two wheels keep on turning

Increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) will shake up the auto landscape over the next ten years. Senior partner Rajat Dhawan and coauthors note that consumers in India who make the switch to EVs may opt for more economical two- and three-wheel vehicles. Sales of these vehicle types in that country could reach 70 percent within the decade.

India is likely to see more electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales than four-wheelers and heavy commercial vehicles.
