After a severe disruption, micromobility is set for a strong comeback

The shared and private micromobility industry (bicycles, e-scooters, and mopeds) suffered pretty badly during lockdowns, with ridership declining 60 to 70 percent. But changes in consumer sentiment and policy over the next few years could drive a 5 to 10 percent increase over prepandemic levels.

The micromobility sector is expected to make a strong postpandemic recovery.
