Women as Future Leaders invites female students and early stage career professionals to take the next step on their leadership journey.

Women as Future Leaders invites you to stretch and challenge yourself by attending our Inspire event, which will take place from 6th - 7th September at a venue outside of London.

In this exclusive two-day workshop you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, hear from inspirational leaders and learn how to better play to your strengths. You will get to know other professional women, meet McKinsey consultants and participate in workshops, discussions and networking.

What is Women as Future Leaders?

Women as Future Leaders is supported by McKinsey through an extensive network of consultants.  Our network is aimed at developing you as a future female leader, regardless of your background or interests.  Past events have included unconscious bias workshops, centered leadership training series, skills workshops focused on topics such as storytelling and creating a journey line, networking events, and McKinsey knowledge events. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who:

  • actively seek ways to stretch themselves and their skills
  • enjoy problem solving and creative thinking
  • thrive working with other people

To be eligible you must self-identify as female and be based in the UK or Ireland.  Additionally, you must:

  • be a current student in your final year of studies (undergraduate, masters or PhD* from any degree or university background), OR an early stage career professional with fewer than 5 years of experience
  • hold an outstanding record of academic and/or professional achievement
  • have a proven record of leadership in an academic or professional setting

*Please note that you are not eligible to apply to this event if you are are currently studying for an MBA or are about to begin an MBA.

How to apply

To apply to attend Inspire you will need to submit your CV (max 2 pages), which should include details of your education (including grades), work experience as well as extracurricular activities and achievements. We will begin accepting applications on the 30th of April 2018, and the deadline for applications is 12 noon (London time) on Thursday, 28th of June 2018.
