As a Junior Analytics Analyst, you will work with the Insights & Analytics group and consulting teams at McKinsey helping solve analytically complex client problems in the marketing domain, applying and administrating analytical/modeling tools and techniques and drawing insights through statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
You will be in client service with additional responsibilities in knowledge development. You will understand and apply marketing tools & techniques in the Agile domain and support development of Agile tools. You will perform statistical analyses in client engagements to support marketing efforts, such as customer segmentation, brand equity analyses, etc.
You will support simple data analysis requests pertaining to McKinsey's proprietary consumer insights databases and support development and maintenance of proprietary McKinsey marketing techniques and other knowledge development projects.
You’ll work with the Periscope team in Gurgaon. Periscope is part of McKinsey New Ventures. Specifically, you'll work within the Marketing & Sales Ventures team primarily supporting the Insights & Analytics (IA) group of Periscope.
Periscope leverages decades of McKinsey’s marketing and sales experience helping leading companies improve pricing, promotion, assortments, and performance management. Periscope’s combination of software, tailored services, and expertise provides our clients with a granular view of their commercial and financial performance by gathering and integrating their landscape of data and information into a central data warehouse.   • Graduate degree in Statistics/Economics/Econometrics/Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics with a strong quantitative background
  • Industry experience in Consumer Goods/Telecom/Retail a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Statistical programming software experience in SPSS & R is preferred.
  • Ability to act autonomously, bringing structure and organization to work
  • Ability to interact in a fluid, demanding and unstructured environment where priorities evolve constantly and methodologies are regularly challenged
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; understanding of both written and spoken English
